San Diego day two

We slept relatively well in the hotel room all together.  Kevin didn't have to be anywhere until 10:00, so we hit up a pancake house for breakfast.  Zoey got chocolate chip pancakes and made a huge mess.  At one point I saw her dip a piece of bacon on whipped cream and then dredge it through chocolate.  Talk about about high caloric intake!

I decided to take the kids to the Children's Museum while Kevin worked because Jackie and a few other San Diegoians recommended it. The girls had a great, messy time.  Paige managed to get paint all over her clothes (mine too!) and even in her hair. Good thing it was all washable.

Zoey and Kevin did the museum again when he was done working and I was at the hotel with Paige for her nap.  Sitting to read  while she slept was lovely.

We checked out of the hotel and drove over the Coranado Bridge to the island.  We stopped at a great park along the main drag and played tag and the girls swung and climbed for a while.  No trip to the island is complete without a visit to the Hotel Del.  We dipped our toes in the ocean water as well.
Zoey insisted on going on a boat while we were in San Diego.  So, she and Paige and I took the ferry back from Coranado and Kevin met us with the car on the other side.  Paige shouted out "BOAT" every time she saw one on the water while we were on the ferry.  The passengers near us thankfully thought is was adorable...it was.
We wanted to show the girls the San Diego Temple, which was right on our way home.  Everyone was pretty tired after a full two days of adventuring, but we had a nice time walking the grounds for a few minutes.
