New at the Zoo

Grandma Redford got us a family pass to the Los Angeles Zoo for Christmas. What a great gift. We'll use it all year long. The weekend after we got back from Washington, the four of us went to check it out. Paige was especially excited.
We saw all kinds of animals, some I'd never before heard of before. All of us enjoyed looking at them. Zoey is kind of obsessed with pigs these days (when we do "Old MacDonald" at music makers she HAS to have the pig) and even liked the fake one.
The kids' petting zoo was really great. Zoey brushed some goats and a few sheep. She liked how soft the sheep's wool felt.
The zoo has an amazing old-fashioned carousel, that goes beyond your regular horses moving up and down. There were all kinds of animals, many of which we'd seen at the zoo (notice the tiger in the picture below.)

Zoey picked this one because the horse had a pink saddle.

These two had a nice time together while mommy and Paige watched

All in all, it was a great day together as a family. We'll be back for sure.
