Cousins Galore!

Thanks to the great state of California's budget crisis and the subsequent mandatory furlough days for public schools, two weeks ago the APC and Miller kids all had no school on a Friday. Marilee, Nicole and I decided to get together and play. (Thanks for the pictures Nicole! My camera is still broken :()
All but one cousin! (on my side)

Spencer and Justin loving Zoey

We met at travel town in Griffith Park. We explored trains for a bit and then went on a short train ride that the little kids really loved.
Cute Gracie exploring the train

The older ladies and Spencer waiting for the train. (Nicole was taking the picture)

Following the Travel Town (the older kids got bored) we found a great playground and had lunch at shaded tables near the play structures.

The kids were all happy and played so well together. The older kids looked out for the younger kids. I had to run to the bathroom and stopped Justin from playing an intense game of tag in order to keep an eye on Zoey and he was happy to do it. Logan kept playing with Gracie and it was so cute to watch. Amber swung Zoey gently on a tire swing. Ben and Garett were inseparable. The older four went on a scouting run/walk to see if the old fashioned merry-go-round was open. Zoey has become obsessed with Avery and all morning long kept saying her name and didn’t want her out of her sight when we were together (so cute!) Everyone was cooperative, happy, and had a great time! Special shout out to Spencer, who voluntarily gave up his seat in my car when we moved to the park to avoid other kids fighting about it. We sure missed Jill and Raelynn and look forward to them joining us on these Southern California adventures.

Sounds like a great time! Jealous that you are wearing short sleeve shirts and shorts while playing in the park in November! :)
