Daddy Daughter Date

A while back, I was tired of only punishing Zoey and wanted to focus on the positive things she did.  We came up with the "bean jar."  She earns beans when she does something nice, or is a good listener, or a caring big sister.  She can lose beans too, if she throws tantrums or doesn't listen well.  When the jar fills up, she gets a reward.  I thought about what that should be. She is most definitely motivated by candy, but I didn't want that to be the driving force.  We thought that a daddy-daughter date might be just the thing she'd want to earn.  We were right.  Kevin is her favorite person and to get one-on-one time with him, doing something special and fun is a great motivator.  Here they are in January, headed out on their first date:
