Grandma and Zoey certainly love one another. Zoey was excited for her arrival, but over the moon to learn that Grandma brought an entire carry on suitcase full of crafty projects they were going to do together. They made some cute ornaments and other Christmas decorations. Grandma insists that she doesn't mind, and even prefers, to share a bed with Zoey when she's here. She got lots of great snuggles in the morning. I'd hear the two of them chatting and giggling before getting out of bed. Her girls and I keep saying what a great preschool teacher she would be. She's really got a knack for young children. Julia was always happy to read a book, play, act silly, distract a child, and be an all around terrific grandma. Saying goodbye in November was only okay, because we knew we would see grandma again before Christmas. We were thrilled to be the starting and ending point for her European adventure.
It is hard to tell who was having more fun, Zoey or Grandma. They had a ball together.
