The Zoo with Grandma

Grandma Redford got our family a pass to the LA Zoo for Christmas in 2011.  So, it was only appropriate that when she came to visit in (way back in November) that we went to the zoo together.  Kevin took the day off, and we seemed to have the whole place to ourselves. 

 

We sure had fun with Grandma!

Grandma also read about the Zoo activities for the day and discovered there is was an elephant training exhibit shortly after we got there.  Both girls loved seeing the elephant, Billy, up close (the adults thought it pretty neat too!)

   

Grandma, who is very prone to motion sickness, chose to watch the girls ride the carousel.  Zoey went for the mythical creature that time.

We actually took this picture to put in the calendar I made for Grandma Julia for Christmas.  She was the photographer!  

 All in all, a great day at the zoo and a lovely time with grandma.
