Three!

This is how she shows people her age, with her thumb holding down her fourth finger, leaving three left.
How can it be that my little girl is three years old??? She has matured so much, even in the last six months. She climbs the kitchen counters by herself, and her hair is growing so fast I think she might be Rapunzel. She can almost completely dress and undress herself (if we have enough time for the process.) Zoey can get a tortilla out of the fridge and heat it in the microwave on her own. She talks in run on sentences and paragraphs now. She thinks erroneously that she doesn't need a nap, and sleeps in a big bed, not in the crib. Every thing is something she wants to "do it by my own!" Her artistic skills are refining and she tries to stay in the lines when she colors a coloring book. Painting with water colors is her favorite, though. She plays imagination games all the time, and we've had lots of visits from "pretend Avery" and "pretend Gracie."

Some things have not changed. She still loves to sing and dance (although she doesn't perform on demand as easily). Zoey continues to know her own mind and be very determined that things happen in a specific way and order. Her gait is still a gallop, and her enthusiasm and energy boundless. She is still a nurturer to her little sister, her dollies, and she's the matriarch of the nursery at church. We continue to read lots of books. And while she loves me, and Paige and her grandparents and cousins, her favorite person in the world is still her daddy:

Zoey and daddy on her birthday, wearing a Cinderella dress from Grandma and Papa.
