Papa and Grandma's visit

We all loved having Papa and Grandma around for a long visit. Grandma seemed to enjoy herself too!

Zoey was especially excited to eat al fresco with Papa at the hotel in Newport Beach.
And of course very happy to read books with Papa.
She was less enthusiastic about time in the pool. Strangely, my child who loved anything to do with water last year seemed scared in the pool. She clung to me the first day and was not too happy with either Papa or daddy on the second. Perhaps she's developing a sense of fear? That will come in handy when we visit the beach.

Mom and Aunt Lynne seemed to love chatting poolside.
While the rest of us were entertained in the water.
We were so lucky to see most of the Sherwood cousins for a few days that week too. I really like all of them. My cousins all picked great spouses and have delightful children. Staying up WAY too late playing a long game of three-rounded charades was super, duper fun. (Although, I still think the boys padded their total.)
