How much and how little has changed

Last year, we spent Memorial Day pool side in Irvine with my folks and the Miller Clan. Zoey enjoyed herself quite a lot and got very tuckered out.

The picture below demonstrates how much bigger she is one year later on the same weekend and in the same pool as last year, but also how not much has changed. She was awake this time, and spent much more time in the pool. The chubb is more pronounced also. Here with Papa, she looks kind of like the deceased Hawaiian singer, IZ, on the cover of one of his albums.
If you didn't know Zoey, you'd think that all she does is recline. Not so. She is a busy, busy child, but she knows how to relax when the time comes.

We had a lot of fun in the pool with Gracie and Marin. Papa and Uncle Kevin have to be the two funnest people in the pool, so the girls really lucked out. Grandma even joined us with a toe in the water.

I loved teasing my Marin moo-moo and she seemed to have fun too.
